1.  Notarized by a notary public or county clerk.
2.  Submitted to AECF for aunthentication & certification.
3.  Submitted for legalization to the Consulates general of Egypt in the United States.
 


PERMANENT REGULATIONS
In compliance with the permanent regulations of the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the following procedures must be followed to the letter without exception.


LIST OF COMMERCIAL DOCUMENTS

The sale transactions of goods require a list of commercial documents (certificates).  These documents must be submitted, for authentication and certification, to the American Egyptian Cooperation and its affiliate the U.S. - Egypt Chamber of Commerce.

4.  Certificate of Halal Approval / Islamic Slaughter Certificate

5.  Phytosanitary / Health Certificate
6.  Radiation Certificate

CERTIFICATION PROCEDURES
The certification procedures of commercial documents involve the verification of three main items:
1.  The origin of merchandise.
2.  The evenness of the sale price stated in the commercial invoice in comparison with the average market price.
3.  The conformity of the documents with the regulations and requirements in Egypt.
In this respect, the aunthentication and certification of documents best serve the interests of the Egyptian businesses. 
Documents (certificates) should be submitted to AECF and its sole affiliate the U.S. - Egypt Chamber of Commerce for Certification.
Each document (certificates) should include:
  • The original document, duly notarired, and
  • Three copies of the original documents.
Each document (certificate) will be certified three times asfollows: one original and two copies.  The third copy will be kept in AECF's file without being certified.
Once the procedures of certification have been complted, AECF/USECC's "certificate seals" will be placed on each documents (certificates) as a proof of conformity to Egypt's rules and regulations.  Depending on the nature of exported goods, or according to a request from the importaer, special additional certificates and documents may also be required.  These additional certificates or documents also need to be authenticated, certified, and legalized.
In addition, some commercial documents are issued by different organizations for example:

  • United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issues:
    Commodity Inspection Certificate.
    Official Export Grain Inspection Certificate.
    Official Grain Weight Certificate.
    Veterinary Certificate.
  • United States Department of Health & Human Services (SDHHS) or USDA issue:
    Phytosanitary / Health Certificate.
    Radiation Certificate.
  • Islamic Center issues:
    Certificate of Halal Approval / Islamic Slaughter.
These additional certificates or documents also need to be aunthenticated, certified and ligalized.
